Fans have been waiting for Miles Morales to make his big-screen debut for a long time. So much so that, according to Deadline, the trailer brought in an impressive 44 million views in its first 24 hours. Displaying a very high demand for this character.

While most were hoping that the character’s first big-screen appearance would be in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, this is clearly a very good start. And if the box-office numbers in December match the hype building around the trailer, we could see a live-action version sooner than later.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, directed by Bob Persichetti, Peter Ramsey, and Rodney Rothman, stars Shameik Moore, Liev Schreiber, Lily Tomlin, Mahershala Ali, Jake Johnson, Luna Lauren Velez, and Hailee Steinfeld. It will be released on December 14th.
